Under direction from the Manager of IT Network Infrastructure, the Senior Network Analyst is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of Network related infrastructure components. This position participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This position ensures that core network infrastructure and related procedures adhere to organizational needs while ensuring the evolution of Agropur's Network ecosystem by deploying tools and automation for physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure and by participating to project delivery.

What You'll Be Responsible for Every Day


  • Participate in Network related projects defining activity breakdown structure for technical implementations, cutover plans, and hyper care.
  • Act as an escalation point for major incidents and problems under its expertise tower, and leads incident investigation, troubleshooting and remediation.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and mentor to other team members.
  • Provide engineering expertise on specific platforms/services/products for successful integration and operation of the platforms/services/products in the network.
  • Develop and update test plans used to evaluate new services, new equipment and software/firmware releases and processes and procedures needed to deploy, provision, test, and repair systems.
  • Acts as the Network IT asset owner approves accesses and reviews changes related to technologies under its expertise tower.
  • Identify requirements, document, and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to track infrastructure uptime, health, resources, capacity, and availability a
  • Develop and maintain technical standards and best practices to be followed within the operations.
  • Develop and maintain build books, run books, operational checklists, and procedures.
  • Liaison between operation teams and project teams or strategic partners. Identify,
  • Participate in weekly meetings with Agropur and/or partner resources to track work items, review KPI, and define remediation plans.
  • Is responsible of the change management under its center of expertise, tracks modifications implementation, ensures processes are followed.
  • Develop and document operational procedures, provide knowledge transfer sessions, and training to team members responsible of infrastructure operations.
  • Use and promote ITIL process adoption such Asset, Incident, Problem and Change Management.
  • Track, maintain, fine tune infrastructure license usage, and provide visibility through reporting.
  • Track Lifecycle brings awareness, documents and executed a remediation for infrastructure components that does no longer fulfills its role or is no longer compliant with applicable standards.
  • Oversee daily monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of network resources and associated key processes, reviewing logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Lead the infrastructure installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrade, and stabilization. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies and strategic partners.
  • Produces support handover documentation and ensures successful knowledge transfer to relevant teams by providing expertise on specific platforms/services/products for successful integration and operational efficiency.

The Profile That Will Thrive in This Role


  • Bachelor's Degree in a technology related field required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Minimum ten(10) years of professional experience working in large Enterprise scale networking environments in a Network Administrator or Engineering role required.
  • Experience in automation via Bash/shell scripting, and or Perl/Python programming is an asset.
  • Operational experience on wireless networks of major vendors such as Cisco required.
  • Operational experience on SDWAN solutions of major vendors such as VMWare Velocoud required.
  • Operational experience on next-gen Firewall of major vendors such as Palo-Alto required.
  • Networking, Cloud or Security Certifications are considered an asset.
  • Hands on experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS or Junos.
  • Strong knowledge in TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP, Cisco IOS / IOS-XR / IOS-XE.
  • Strong understanding of SDWAN and experienced on design and implementation of major vendor solutions such as VMWare Velocoud;
  • Strong understanding of next-gen Firewall and experienced on implementation, management & flow definitions of major vendor solutions such as Palo-Alto.
  • Analysis of packet captures and network traces.
  • Bilingual, French and English.
