Job Description
.NET Software Developer
Position Overview
We are seeking a .NET Software Developer to join a clients application development team due to increasing workload and ongoing initiatives. This role is intended to add additional development capacity and will contribute across a range of projects, including enhancements to existing systems, integrations with third-party vendors, and modernization efforts.
This is a hands-on development role, ideal for someone who is a strong coder in C#, comfortable working deep in the database, and adaptable enough to support different parts of the application stack as priorities shift. While this role does not include formal leadership or architecture ownership, the developer should be capable of working independently, understanding complex systems, and contributing meaningfully to technical discussions.
What You'll Be Working On

  • Enhancements and maintenance of business-critical operational applications
  • Backend systems that handle large volumes of data and complex business logic
  • API integrations between internal applications and third-party vendor systems
  • Occasional front-end work depending on project needs
  • Existing applications built on a mix of legacy and modern .NET technologies
  • Codebases where performance, reliability, and efficiency are critical
Because business priorities can change quickly, the work may vary from project to project, requiring a well-rounded developer rather than a narrowly focused specialist.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using C# and the Microsoft .NET stack
  • .NET Framework 4.5+
  • .NET Core / modern .NET (preferred)
  • Develop and support RESTful APIs and system integrations
  • Write, analyze, and maintain Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including:
  • Large, complex stored procedures
  • Embedded business logic
  • Tune and optimize stored procedures and SQL queries to improve performance
  • Analyze joins, execution plans, and query structure
  • Optimize queries for high-volume data processing
  • Work closely with other developers to understand existing systems and contribute improvements
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment activities
  • Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to support application integrations
  • Follow established development standards while helping improve code quality and performance

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a .NET Developer
  • Strong proficiency in C# (primary language)
  • Experience working with .NET Framework 4.5+
  • Exposure to modern .NET (.NET Core / .NET 6+) is strongly preferred
  • Solid experience with Oracle databases, including:
  • Writing and maintaining complex stored procedures
  • SQL query analysis and performance tuning
  • Strong understanding of backend business logic layers
  • Experience developing and consuming APIs
  • Comfortable working in environments without Entity Framework (database-heavy systems)
  • Ability to read, understand, and improve large, existing codebases

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Front-end experience with Angular (4+), React, or similar frameworks
  • Exposure to Azure and cloud-based integrations (not required to be a cloud expert)
  • Experience working with third-party vendors or external system integrations
  • Familiarity with design patterns and application architecture concepts
  • CI/CD experience using TFS or Azure DevOps
  • Xamarin or mobile development exposure

What This Role Is
  • A mid-level, hands-on developer role
  • Focused on execution, problem-solving, and contributing to active projects
  • Backend-heavy with strong database and performance requirements
  • Flexible across the stack based on business needs
  • An opportunity to grow technical breadth across integrations, data, and cloud exposure
