We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer/Architect to design and implement enterprise-scale data solutions on Azure and Microsoft Fabric platforms. The Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer/Architect will play a key role in developing data architecture strategies, optimizing data pipelines, and ensuring best practices in data modelling and warehousing.
The Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer/Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient data solutions. This position requires deep expertise in cloud data platforms, strong leadership in architecture design, and hands-on experience with big data tools.
The Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer/Architect will also drive innovation, evaluate emerging technologies, and guide teams in implementing modern data engineering practices. The Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer/Architect must be a self-starter, capable of working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while delivering high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, architect, and implement data solutions on Azure Data Platform and Microsoft Fabric
• Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure services such as ADF and Fabric
• Lead architecture discussions and provide technical direction to engineering teams
• Build and optimize data models, schemas, and data warehouse solutions
• Work with big data tools such as Databricks, Spark, and Microsoft Fabric
• Develop solutions using PySpark and Spark SQL for large-scale data processing
• Ensure best practices in data governance, data quality, and performance optimization
• Conduct proof of concepts (POCs) to validate architecture solutions
• Drive continuous improvement and modernization of data architecture
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align IT initiatives with target architecture roadmaps
Required Skills & Experience:
• 12+ years of experience in SQL, schema design, and dimensional data modelling
• 7+ years of experience in Azure Data Platform and cloud-based data solutions
• 5+ years of experience in modern data engineering, data warehousing, and data lakes
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Azure ecosystem
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Experience with Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
• Strong programming skills in PySpark and Spark SQL
• Solid understanding of data warehouse best practices and methodologies
• Experience with big data technologies such as Databricks and Spark
