Plant Manager - Building Products Manufacturer - Base Salary to 165k/year - Myrtle Beach, SC

  • Our client, a leading manufacturer of engineered building products serving the home improvement market, is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee manufacturing and facility operations in the Myrtle Beach, SC area. This position will lead fabrication and assembly, production, warehouse operations, quality, safety, shipping, and workforce development, with a focus on operational standardization, continuous improvement, and production growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on leadership and oversight of day-to-day manufacturing and production floor operations, including fabrication and assembly
  • Lead plant operations across production, warehouse, quality, safety, inventory, material planning, and shipping functions
  • Drive operational excellence, process improvement, production growth, and standardization across manufacturing operations
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the quality management system (QMS)
  • Establish and monitor manufacturing metrics, production KPIs, performance goals, and production targets
  • Oversee production planning and scheduling, material planning, inventory management, warehouse operations, and shipping
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, ISO 9001, safety, quality, and applicable manufacturing requirements
  • Support new product development and the introduction of new products into manufacturing operations
  • Support workforce expansion through hiring, training, and employee development
  • Identify and implement improvements to production processes, personnel deployment, and manufacturing capacity

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years in senior-level management in fabrication and assembly within the consumer goods industry
  • Previous oversight of fabrication and assembly lines
  • Experience overseeing manufacturing operations, including production planning and scheduling, material planning, inventory management, warehouse operations, and shipping
  • Experience with manufacturing quality management systems, production metrics, and operational improvement initiatives
  • Experience managing production-floor operations and manufacturing personnel

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 140k - 165k/year range plus bonus
