SUMMARY
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer develops and implements optimal, cost effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Additionally, the position holder recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs, research design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods, production equipment and systems integration.
  • Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment using AutoCAD/Solidworks
  • Programming with Allen Bradley PLCs, Drives, HMIs
    • AMS and Siemens PLCs/HMIs would be a plus
  • Networking in IP and Modicon environments
  • Rexroth servos
  • Panel Design
  • Electrical distribution systems
  • Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results
  • Designs, implements and tests/sources and cost justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods
  • Strong troubleshooting and analyses skills
  • Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and improved efficiency
  • Represents manufacturing on cross functional teams

Qualifications:
*Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 3-6 month time span
*Management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
*Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including layout, assembly and production equipment
*Product development experience
*Quality orientation and attention to detail
*Problem analysis and problem resolution
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
*Strong team player
*Ability to solve complex problems and a variety of changing needs under stress
*Solid decision making skills
*Large Project management involving both technical and contractor management skills
*Extensive experience in either the rollforming industry or a related industry
*Production Management Experience
*Ability to self-direct in a field environment given the goals of the project
*Ability to run the department and make key decisions in the managers absence
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience preferred
*Computer assisted design proficiency
*Computer proficiency
  • The military equivalent will be recognized in lieu of education and/or experience.

Spanish would be a plus
