Department Overview

The Global Enterprise Service Management (ESM) PMO Senior Manager is responsible for owning the project and program management for an ESM sub-program focused on ServiceNow Golden Instance consolidation and EmployeeWorks AI solution. The ESM implementation Program is a multi-year program to establish a First Stop Shop for all McDonald's employees, both Corporate and McDonald's-owned restaurants. This role reports to the ESM PMO Lead, ensuring predictable execution, risk-managed delivery, and cross-functional alignment for one of McDonald's most critical global transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with ESM PMO Lead and Transformation Leadership to establish program and project strategy, approach, workstreams and overall structure and timeline for the initiative.
  • Ensure the program is operating to plan, proactively identifying risk and issues and engaging the right parties to mitigate risk and resolve issues
  • Establish and facilitate program governance and project status forums, ensuring all parties are apprised of actions and decisions
  • Accountable for leading a multi-year initiative leveraging a team of experienced program managers, market resources, and functional subject matter experts assigned to the initiative.
  • Coordinate and engage with key cross-workstream internal partners (e.g., functional solutions, enabling services) to streamline interactions while maintaining line of sight to dependencies required for success
  • Help with implementation and reinforcement of project management methodology
  • Advise leadership and/or business executives at the highest levels about the initiative, leveraging the standard status and communication reporting processes
  • Provide project workplan management support, keeping track of plans, budget, quality standards, deliverables, and dependencies
  • Track and monitor project metrics, reporting and project finance management
  • Facilitate internal and external meetings
  • Monitor relationships and dependencies between project areas and active improvement submission
  • Organize project resource management, ensuring the proper onboarding / offboarding of program team members, and maintaining adherence to relevant security, data, and access policies in alignment with McDonald's Data and Security Governance Standards
  • Build program updates for McDonald's Leadership that shows the progress of the project and potential barriers
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of prior program and project management experience leading large scale, global integrated transformation programs, preferably in a multidomain GBS environment. Experience with enterprise ServiceNow successful implementations is required.
  • PMP certification or equivalent
  • Strong ability to manage a multivendor environment, holding vendors accountable to their own deliverables
  • Proven leadership in planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring successful outcomes and value realization
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication planning capabilities across senior and cross-functional audiences
  • Expertise in change control, performance measurement, risk and issue management, and adherence to PMO standards, processes, and tools
  • Ability to inspire and align others around a compelling future vision to drive engagement and results
  • Demonstrated skill in building alliances and managing interdependencies across departments and organizations
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a heavy emphasis on partnering and collaboration to drive outcomes
  • Experience developing and managing end-to-end, multi-team project plans - managing both vendor and McDonald's deliverables, and using McDonald's project management software
  • Executive-level communication skills; able to engage senior leaders with appropriate clarity, detail, and influence
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to balance big-picture thinking and attention to detail
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, resilience, and logical problem-solving
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and act on opportunities
  • Strong team player with demonstrated leadership capability
