Job Role and Responsibility:

AMD, Inc., is hiring Sr. Manager, Pricing Strategy/Planning to Define, develop and implement pricing strategies that grow Client business and enhance Client profitability. Monitor, track trends and report on pricing performance and competitiveness globally as well as identify opportunities for improvement. Evaluate and provide recommendations on price change requests from sales by understanding margin impacts, potential incremental volume, and competitor price levels. Track market trends and keep up to date on prices set by competitors. Stay updated with pricing best practices and market dynamics. Develop strong relationships with global sales, finance, business unit and operations teams to enable strong teamwork and build success. Demonstrate achievement in a fast-paced business planning or strategy role- high tech experience. Pre-existing understanding of the PC market, with an emphasis on OEM/MNC PC makers. Exceptional time-management skills with ability to handle multiple ongoing projects/initiatives. Ability to quickly create effective strategies with imperfect or insufficient datasets. Strong organizational skills and experience working across a large organization to drive results. Executive-level presentation and communication skills- ability to speak with confidence. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various company proprietary products.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required:

Four years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering or management role.

Alternate combination of education and experience:

Employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Engineering, or related field and six (6) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering or management role.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Position requires Four (4) years of experience in the following:

  • Business planning, strategy, or high tech;
  • PC Market and OEM/MNC PC makers;
  • Strategizing with imperfect or insufficient datasets;
  • Business Analytics;
  • Product Strategy;
  • Market Analysis;
  • Circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, design techniques, tools, and principles; and
  • Creating executive-ready PowerPoint presentations with minimal direction and presenting to VP and Senior VP audiences.
