Job description

Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Manager of Enterprise ERP Products & Services is a high-impact, results-driven technology leader responsible for guiding a product-oriented team of analysts, engineers, and administrators through the entire lifecycle for our Multi-SaaS platform ecosystem of ERP solutions. Key solutions in scope include NetSuite (for Accounting and Finance), Workday (for Human Capital Management, Payroll, and Benefits), and other critical corporate solutions.
As a key tactical leader within the Business Products & Services (BPS) function, this role serves as a tireless advocate and vital bridge dedicated to the success of our internal business partners. Shifting from a traditional project mindset to a modern "SaaS-as-a-Product" discipline, this role leads and drives execution velocity, translating financial, HR, and corporate strategies into dynamic, highly prioritized backlogs and product roadmaps that solve real-world user challenges. The Senior Manager will instill a culture of strong accountability, performance engineering, and technical excellence. They will ensure their team effectively consumes foundational services from the central Platform Products & Services (PPS) team to configure, customize, integrate, and build stable, scalable, and secure business platforms. A relentless focus on customer-centric leadership, continuous delivery, compliance, vendor management, and driving tangible business outcomes is paramount.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS
30% - Leadership, Coaching & High Performance Accountability
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team, fostering a culture of customer empathy, shared accountability, and a commitment to helping our business partners achieve their strategic goals.
  • As a senior manager, lead larger matrixed teams and focus on organizational structure, cross-training strategy, and succession planning.
  • Define explicit, objective performance standards and goals for the team; conduct regular 1-on-1 coaching sessions, career development planning, and performance management reviews (including taking swift corrective action up to termination when standards are not met).
  • Coach the team on core product management competencies, ensuring technical engineers understand the business impact of their configurations and customizations.
  • Proactively identify skills gaps and lead initiatives to upskill team members on advanced solution configuration, integration & reporting tools, and agile delivery frameworks.
  • Build a highly resilient team structure by cross-training members to eliminate single-point-of-failure dependencies across the ERP portfolio.

20% - Product Execution, Agile Delivery & Driving Results
  • Champion the modern "SaaS Product" operating model, prioritizing internal customer needs and enhancing user experience through value-driven release cycles and rapid delivery.
  • Actively manage and aggressively prioritize the product backlog to ensure every configuration and customization delivers measurable value and improves the daily workflow of our business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate agile activities (planning, stand-ups, grooming, retrospectives) to accelerate execution, manage dependencies, and resolve technical blockers.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on key product-centric metrics (e.g., release velocity, deployment quality, user adoption rates, technical debt, and sprint burndown).
  • Act as the principal consumer of central Platform Products & Services (PPS) features, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise data pipelines, BI systems, and cloud infrastructure.

20% - Strategic Business Partnership & Process Optimization
  • Build collaborative, trust-based partnerships with key stakeholders, acting as a strategic consultant who deeply understands their unique operational pain points and requirements.
  • Map complex corporate workflows (e.g., general ledger automation, financial close cycles, HR onboarding, payroll processing, benefits administration, corporate functions) to out-of-the-box ERP/HCM capabilities, minimizing custom code and technical debt.
  • Actively owns and communicates the 2-3 year roadmap, aligning the ERP/HCM portfolio (NetSuite and Workday) with enterprise-wide growth and capability maps. Aligning release strategies, and platform capabilities to both technical teams and corporate business leaders.
  • Monitor industry trends, SaaS developments, and emerging technologies (including automation and AI opportunities within our solution footprint) to advise business partners on continuous improvement strategies.

15% - Operational Excellence, Compliance, & Security
  • Partner with the Platform Products & Services (PPS) organization to guarantee high availability, structural integrity, and rigorous security standards across the solution ecosystem.
  • Actively designing the controls framework and serves as the primary technical interface for internal and external auditors. Enforce rigorous IT General Controls (ITGCs) and robust software deployment governance across the ERP environment to satisfy strict internal and external audits. Implement and monitor strict Segregation of Duties (SoD) frameworks, system access controls, and data privacy policies (such as HIPAA and PII controls) within the Multi-SaaS platform ecosystem.
  • Manage and optimize the production support tier, guaranteeing high availability and reliability for critical business processes (e.g., financial month-end close, payroll runs, open enrollment).
  • Lead root-cause analyses for critical system incidents, ensuring appropriate corrective actions and preventative measures are implemented and documented.

10% - Vendor Management & SaaS Economics
  • Manage tactical and operational relationships with major cloud software vendors (Oracle/NetSuite, Workday, etc.) and systems integrators/managed service providers.
  • Negotiates key SaaS licensing, manage high-value statements of work (SOWs), and optimize software renewals to lower total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Oversee external partner performance closely, ensuring external consultants, developers, and support services meet contractual obligations, service level agreements (SLAs), and cost profiles.
  • Track SaaS licensing usage, consumption, and renewal schedules, optimizing system subscriptions to maximize ROI.

5% - Financial Oversight & Portfolio Stewardship
  • Contribute to the annual IT capital (CapEx) and operating (OpEx) budget planning process, ensuring accurate forecasting of software maintenance, third-party licensing, and staffing costs.
  • Lead the strategic vision and roadmap for enterprise ERP budget planning, aligning long-term financial targets with operational objectives. Developing objective business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and prioritization frameworks for major ERP system upgrades and product initiatives.
  • Maintain rigorous stewardship over financial portfolios, driving execution accountability to ensure total alignment with established corporate economic goals.

  • Minimum of 7 years of direct people management experience, with a proven track record of coaching teams and managing talent in a dynamic corporate environment.
  • Deep operational or configuration experience within NetSuite ERP and/or Workday HCM platforms (or similar functional products) highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading tech teams within an agile, product-centric IT operating model.
  • Experience working in a corporate environment with strict compliance (SOX, SOC 1/SOC 2, GDPR/CCPA) mandates is desired.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NetSuite Certified ERP Consultant/Administrator, Workday Pro, CSM, CSPO, or ITIL) are a strong plus.

Required Technical Skills / Knowledge
  • Proficient understanding of core corporate business functions, including GAAP accounting, financial close processes, HR payroll cycles, employee benefits administration, and time tracking.

  • Expert capability in applying IT General Controls (ITGCs) and implementing Segregation of Duties (SoD) strategies to ERP user provisioning.
  • Expertise using Agile lifecycle management tools (such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow) to plan, prioritize, track, and report on team delivery. Possessing a working knowledge of ITIL-based service management frameworks and best practices.
