Senior Malware Reverse Engineer information
What is the difference between Senior Malware Reverse Engineer vs Malware Analyst?
| Aspect | Senior Malware Reverse Engineer | Malware Analyst |
|---|---|---|
| Required Credentials | Advanced reverse engineering skills, certifications like GREM, OSCP | Basic reverse engineering, malware analysis certifications, security certifications |
| Work Environment | Deep technical analysis, reverse engineering malware samples | Analyzing malware behavior, creating reports, threat intelligence |
| Employer & Industry Usage | Cybersecurity firms, government agencies, large corporations | Security teams, incident response, threat intelligence units |
The main difference is that Senior Malware Reverse Engineers focus on dissecting and understanding malware at a code level, often developing tools or signatures. Malware Analysts typically analyze malware behavior and create reports to inform security measures. Both roles require strong technical skills, but the reverse engineer role is more specialized in code analysis and reverse engineering techniques.

Job description
Are you ready to solve complex opportunities related to end-to-end logistics operations. Amazon is seeking an accomplished Global Logistics Engineer to champion operational innovation and build best-in-class logistics solutions across our global network.
This isn't just a job - it's an opportunity to redefine the boundaries of what's possible in logistics. As our Global Logistics Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing worldwide transportation, warehouse topology, distribution, and supply chain processes - spanning inbound, outbound, forward, and reverse freight flows across globally - to improve efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen compliance, and support customer delivery requirements.
This role works cross-functionally with carriers, brokers, finance, trade compliance, IT, procurement, and regional logistics teams to ensure efficient operations
The Global Logistics Engineer partners across Global Transportation & Logistics (GTL), Global RAD Operations (GRO), Tech Supply Chain (TSC), and external logistics providers to turn data into action and deliver scalable transportation solutions.
This is an individual contributor role with significant informal leadership responsibility - influencing decisions up and down our organization and across partner teams without direct authority. If you thrive on solving complex logistics challenges, have a passion for operational excellence, and want to make a tangible impact on a global scale, this role is your gateway to redefining the future of logistics!
Why You'll Love Working Here
- Enjoy the resources of a global organization with the agility of a start-up
- Shape the future of supply chain operations in a rapidly evolving digital landscape
- Work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry
- Benefit from Amazon's renowned culture of innovation and customer obsession
Key job responsibilities
Data, Analytics & Cost Optimization
- Build and maintain dashboards providing end-to-end shipment visibility across global regions.
- Identify, quantify, and implement cost savings through carrier rate analysis, service optimization, and process automation
- Track ROI and develop insight-first narratives for leadership.
- Drive root cause analysis on logistics failures and corrective actions.
Process Improvement & Technology
- Consolidate fragmented workflows into unified systems.
- Support TMS improvements and champion AI/ML, scripting, and automation to eliminate manual processes and scale operations
- Drive cross-functional projects from requirements through deployment managing timelines, stakeholder alignment, and risk escalation.
- Document SOPs and engineering standards for global use.
Network Design & Optimization
- Conduct quantitative analyses on network topology, consolidation modeling, and transportation efficiency to deliver data-driven recommendations for senior leadership.
- Model origin-destination flows, mode mix (ocean, air, rail, truckload, LTL, parcel, inter-modal), and consolidation strategies to minimize landed cost
- Provide feasibility analysis and cost modeling for new business opportunities to inform go/no-go decisions.
Carrier Strategy, Compliance & Sustainability
- Support carrier sourcing, onboarding, rate analysis, and performance management across all modes.
- Design processes supporting trade compliance, customs, Incoterms, and dangerous goods regulations.
- Develop sustainability metrics aligned with Science Based Targets including Scope 3 emissions.
Global Collaboration & Business Requirements
- Collaborate across EMEA, APAC, LATAM, and the Americas to align logistics standards, processes, and reporting
- Author Business Requirements Documents translating operational needs into system enhancements and validate post-deployment results.
