Join the PACCAR team today! The Role This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of PACCAR's Mainframe applications. The development and maintenance activity predominantly uses COBOL, IMS, DB2, and CICS. About the Team ¿As a Senior Mainframe Engineer, you will work with a talented PACCAR mainframe team that supports some of the most critical processes within the company for building medium and heavy duty trucks across North America. Job Responsibilities This position will: ¿ Work with customers to define, design and propose alternative solutions in response to changing business needs. ¿ Work with customers to troubleshoot reported issues. ¿ Provide system administration support. ¿ Must be able and willing to work weekends and evenings to support on call responsibilities as needed is required. Required Experience & Skills ¿ Five years software engineering experience including code development, scripting, workflow and data mapping. ¿ Five years mainframe support experience: COBOL, IMS (DB), DB2, CICS, JCL ¿ Advanced computer system skills including use of word processing, databases, and spreadsheets. ¿ Strong verbal/written communication skills. ¿ Demonstrated ability to work independently and/or as a team member. ¿ Strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills. ¿ PACCAR systems experience a plus Education (List required and/or preferred education) ¿ A four year degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field desired.
