You assist an attorney in gathering information during an investigation for a case, getting statements from people involved with a court case, working through a trial, and finalizing documents and tasks after a trial. Your research and preparation before, during, and after a court hearing or trial is imperative to the attorney’s success. You have advanced duties compared to a junior litigation paralegal, who assists you and other staff.
