Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a Senior Linux System Administrator to join a large DOD program in San Diego, CA. Essential Duties of the Sr Linux System Administrator: * Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
* Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
* May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
* May administer network security measures.
Qualifications of the Sr Linux System Administrator: * Bachelors degree and 4 years of experience, Associates degree and 6 years of experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree
* Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
* Strong Linux experience.
* Security+ Certification required.
Compensation for the Sr Linux System Administrator: * $100,000 - $130,000 (based on experience)
