Job description

We're looking for an experienced Senior Linux Engineer to join our growing team to help us build, ship, and secure world class, mission critical systems deployed across a variety of platforms and environments. The ideal candidate will have deep hands on experience managing, configuring, and troubleshooting systems that run on Linux, preferably RHEL. Some of what you'll do: * Design, build, and maintain server and network infrastructure running on the Linux operating system (we use mostly RHEL). * Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems * Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups * Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. * Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses * May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software * Support functional and system level testing Requirements Skills and experience you bring: * 4+ years of experience in Linux systems engineering or administration in a high-availability production environment. * Deep knowledge of Linux distribution internals (RHEL/CentOS ecosystem or Debian/Ubuntu). * Strong analytical problem-solving skills and experience with post-mortem documentation. * Ability to obtain US Secret clearance * US Citizen Nice to have: * Big plus: RedHat Certifications (RHCE, RHCA, etc) * Experience in DevSecOps * Understanding of Linux networking and network troubleshooting * Experience with Ansible * Experience with STIG compliance and security applications * Exposure to cybersecurity principles * B.S. in STEM or engineering field (Software, Math, Physics, Electrical, etc.) * Active US Secret clearance
