The Learning and Development Specialist is a key member of the Stadler US Inc. Human Resources team, responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs to enhance employee skills, performance, and engagement. The Learning and Development Specialist will work closely with internal stakeholders and apply principles of employee development and instructions design by identifying learning needs, developing targeted training solutions, and supporting organizational goals through effective employee development initiatives.
Key Functions
  • Collaborate with department leaders to conduct needs assessments, using surveys, interviews, and performance data to identify skill gaps and training priorities.
  • Design and customize training programs, including e-learning modules, workshops, and on-the-job training, aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Develop engaging training materials, such as presentations, guides, videos, and interactive activities, adhering to instructional design principles.
  • Deliver training sessions (in-person, virtual, or hybrid) using effective teaching methods to maximize participant engagement and knowledge retention.
  • Measure training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring content is current, accessible, and user-friendly.
  • Partner with HR, management, and external vendors to ensure training initiatives support business goals and industry standards.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, adult education and development, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, adult education or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate) and LMS platforms.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze data and assess training effectiveness.
