Job Description

Job Title: Senior Java Developer
Job Duration: 18 months (with possibilities of extension)
Job Location: Bristol, CT - 06010
Description:

Working on Affiliate business for Video on Demand.

Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems.

Will work on new application development as well as enhancements on the existing applications.

Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.

Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.

Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.

Typically reports to a manager.

Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Extensive experience developing web applications using Java, Spring, Hibernate and REST Web services.

Expertise with Core Java 6 Expertise with JavaScript and JQuery Experience with HTML5, CSS3

Experience with JBoss application server and Jenkins tool for continuous integration

Qualifications
