Position Description:
We CGI is seeking a self-motivated Senior Java Developer with React experience to join an established team supporting a core system for a large financial client in New York.
Looking for a Hands-on Senior Developer with domain experience at least in Electronic Trading, Fixed Income, Mortgage Backed Securities or Futures & Options (F&O) and development experience in application development in Java 8/J2EE, ReactJS, REST API, Spring and Oracle.
This position is located in New York City, NY and 4 days/week onsite is mandatory.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Strong tech skills to handle complex architecture and design capability across scenarios.
Gather requirements from Business Analysts and document technical approaches.
Developing application enhancements, bug fixing, debugging and resolving oracle performance issues.
Apply SDLC concepts for designing, coding, testing and implementing.
Integration of front-end modules with Rest API.
Unit testing and snapshot testing of components.
Interacting with the offshore development team for continuous design suggestions, development, status updates.
Mentor developers on design & development.
Code review of the team members & suggest best coding/design practices.
Provide guidance to support teams on debugging application issues.
Build and Deployment of application on all environments.
Providing support to QA, UAT & PROD users.
Providing multiple and ongoing demo to UAT users & Support teams.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
At least 10+ years of experience in application architecture, design and development.
Hands on Application developer role in Java/J2EE framework along with frontend in React
ReactJS for frontend
Experience developing application in Java 8, Spring, React, REST, Microservice
Strong tech skills to handle complex architecture and design capability across scenarios
Will be working hand-on on Oracle so oracle proficiency is a must
Must have working project domain experience in one of the Investment Banking domains of Electronic Trading, Fixed Income, Mortgage Backed Securities or Futures & Options
Experience in design and building high performance, high availability, scalable, distributed applications capable of supporting straight through processing of large amount of data
Well versed in designing large systems and modern enterprise architecture and design patterns
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
