Disclaimer:

Finastra has signed an agreement to sell its Universal Banking business to Pollen Street Capital, with completion expected end 2026 / early 2027, subject to consultation and customary closing conditions. Upon completion, this role is expected to transition to the standalone Universal Banking business, creating opportunities to support its future growth and success.

Reporting to the Regional Head of Services Delivery, the Senior Technical Consultant will implement new features, be involved in upgrades, deliver customizations described in functional specifications using the Finastra Essence toolkit API and you will be involved in designing solutions for the customer needs, working closely with regional teams.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Your deliverables as a Senior Technical Consultant will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Implement new features as specified
  • Participate in upgrades
  • Analyze technical aspects of Finastra Essence implementation including the architecture side
  • Write Technical Specification Documents for offshore service
  • Solution integration including offshore developments
  • Develop toolkit extensions based on Finastra Essence toolkit API
  • Respect high level coding and design standards, and quality best practices
  • Investigate technical and functional defects and propose adequate solutions
  • Ensure that development tasks meet business requirements and goals and fulfil end-user requirements
  • Effective communication and mentoring junior Technical Consultants.

Required Experience:

  • Relevant industry experience within the financial services sector, preferably gained through a financial institution, banking organization, or a banking software/technology company.
  • Strong clients focus and impeccable professional integrity
  • A degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • Strong C/C++/C# /Java skills
  • Good Unix, Linux or Windows skills
  • SQL on Oracle, Sybase or MS SQL
  • Finastra Essence technical knowledge is a plus
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills and transparency
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Good spoken and written English
