JOB SUMMARY:
The Network Engineer III supports the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructure for the program. This role ensures reliable connectivity across LAN/WAN environments and collaborates with senior engineers on network design and optimization. SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Support implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructure
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, and firewalls across multi-vendor environments (e.g., Cisco, Juniper)
• Monitor network performance and availability; identify and resolve connectivity, latency, and packet loss issues
• Implement and support VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and basic network security controls
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN network incidents; perform root cause analysis and document resolutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network changes, upgrades, and infrastructure projects
• Travel to remote locations to lead network installations and perform independent troubleshooting
• Provide status updates to program personnel
• Support activities outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
