The Corbion manufacturing facility in Totowa, NJ is seeking a Senior Business Controller, Manufacturing, North America reporting to the Director Business Control Manufacturing.   We offer exciting global growth opportunities for someone successful in this role.

Responsibilities Include:

Business Partnering

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the site directors and leadership teams.
  • Proactively challenge assumptions and drive informed decision making to improve profitability, cost structure and cash flow.
  • Translate operational strategies into financial plans, KPIs, and performance metrics.
  • Provide site P&L leadership: efficiency, utilization, labor productivity, maintenance effectiveness and other cost optimization initiatives.
  • Critically evaluate footprint changes, capacity expansions, insourcing/outsourcing, develop capex business cases and postinvestment reviews.
  • Drive optimal inventory levels and own inventory valuation and provision.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead a team of manufacturing controllers based at US manufacturing sites with a strong business-partnering mindset.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Align team efforts with organizational objectives and support professional growth.

Performance Management & Insights

  • Drive forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
  • Deliver timely, relevant and actionable insights through advanced analytics and business intelligence tools (SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Fabric, Power BI), translating complex financial data into clear, impactful recommendations.
  • Proactively identify, validate and track opportunities for cost optimization, productivity, working capital improvement, and strategic investment ensuring benefits land in P&L and cash.
  • Monitor and report on manufacturing performance, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Support the Director Business Control Manufacturing on projects and/or ad-hoc assignments.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to align financial goals with strategic priorities.
  • Contribute to global finance transformation, standardization, and best-practice sharing.
  • Influence senior stakeholders through clear, concise financial narratives.
  • Collaborate with Financial Accounting teams to ensure timely accurate and complete financial records

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal/external audits and uphold high standards of financial integrity and transparency.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 6+ years of manufacturing finance experience including as a business partner to leadership.
  • Expertise in financial, manufacturing, and supply chain processes.
  • Proven track record as a Finance Business Partner to site management and senior corporate stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in SAP (S/4HANA), BI and planning tools (SAP Analytics Cloud, Fabric, Power BI) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Business acumen and proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Confident and assertive, with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to simplify and communicate complex financial information.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complex challenges.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and openness to change.
  • Resilient under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines.

Our offer

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type years of and experience within the industry, education, etc. Please note, Corbion is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations.
