Job description

Position: Senior Staff Accountant Location: Denver, CO (On-site collaboration with local teams) Industry: Confidential - Represented by Symbiotic Services About the Role Symbiotic Services is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to support our client's Accounting and Finance team. This role is instrumental in managing revenue recognition, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, budgeting, and more. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized self-starter with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of GAAP.

This position will partner with Office Managers and operations staff, and reports directly to the Divisional Controller. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly financial statements including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows Lead the month-end close process for multiple divisions Reconcile all accounts to the General Ledger accurately and timely Maintain supporting documentation and adjust general ledger entries as needed Assist with inventory reconciliations and participate in month-end inventory processes Track and report daily/weekly cash activities and validate Treasury reports Maintain fixed asset records and manage acquisitions/disposals Prepare business personal property tax and sales tax filings across jurisdictions Perform monthly bank reconciliations Coordinate with HR to record payroll tax journal entries Support accounting for farm operations and collections Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures Provide audit documentation and support as requested Assist with special projects assigned by management Skills & Qualifications Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting principles High-level analytical and problem-solving capabilities Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong time management and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite Ability to work independently and collaboratively Preferred Background Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience Experience with ERP systems, preferably Sage Intacct or equivalent Background in inventory or manufacturing accounting A/P or A/R management experience is a plus Interested candidates should apply through Symbiotic Services.
