Opportunity Information:

Role Summary

The Director of Branch Inventory Allocation & Replenishment owns branch‑level inventory availability, assortment, and service performance across WORLDPAC’s branch network. This role ensures the right inventory is deployed to the right locations at the right time to meet customer demand, sales commitments, and rapid‑delivery expectations.

The Director provides strategic leadership and governance over branch replenishment execution, while partnering closely with Sales, Field Operations, Transportation, and DCs.

Core Responsibilities

Branch Inventory & Service Strategy

  • Define branch‑level inventory policies, service level targets, and replenishment strategies.
  • Own item depth, safety stock, and service level frameworks by geography and market.
  • Set allocation rules, caps, and delivery frequencies from DCs to branches.

Assortment & SKU Lifecycle Governance

  • Govern branch assortment strategy using predictive and qualification tools.
  • Ensure customers have quick and timely access to the broad assortment they need through the network design and fulfillment engines available in the network (ie, Parents/Hubs/Shuttles or Parcel).
  • Own SKU lifecycle health, including statuses, underperforming SKUs.
  • Manage parent/child and hub‑and‑spoke relationships, ensuring hub health and downstream support.

Sales, Field & Market Alignment

  • Align replenishment strategy geographically with Sales and Field Operations teams.
  • Incorporate customer, product, and sales changes into the demand forecasting process to determine inventory plans.
  • Serve as the senior inventory partner for market‑specific needs, major accounts, and growth initiatives.
  • Ensure inventory readiness for customer launches and vendor promotional events (e.g., ACDelco, Amazon, CarMax).
  • Work with local branches to solve challenges related to inventory depth, assortment breadth, and space utilization, while balancing broader company and customer goals.

Replenishment Flow & Network Health

  • Oversee reverse replenishment strategy, including timing, scope, and execution standards.
  • Partner with Transportation and Operations on shuttle performance and branch delivery health driven by product availability and customer demands.
  • Work with Supply Chain Analysts on advanced replenishment logic and digital tools.
  • Make sure products and branch locations system parameters, setups are appropriate and trigger correct system actions.

Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead allocation and replenishment teams with clear accountability and performance standards.
  • Translate branch‑level performance data into corrective actions and improvement initiatives.
  • Act as executive sponsor for branch‑focused inventory transformation efforts.
  • Establish optimal spans of control for each allocation/replenishment analysts (target 100 branches per analyst) and scale the team accordingly.
