Job description

Manage and execute all financial objectives and requirements of the business that includes multiple product lines across our Winchester manufacturing campus. Oversee the execution of all financial transactions, safeguard assets, process improvements within the finance organization, maintain adequate internal controls over company procedures to ensure adherence to management policies and accumulate and report accurate and reliable information on the financial performance of the operations. This role is a key influencing role with heavy emphasis on proactive outreach to manufacturing teams, helping them to understand and drive superior operating performance. Key areas of responsibility will include spend analysis, material & labor variance analysis, forecasting, KPI (key performance indicators) management and reporting, asset safeguarding, driving process improvement and evaluating/tracking cost out opportunities. This position will be accountable for setting the tone for controls and will develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Total cost ownership and management for the plant operating budget.
  • Serve as a business partner with operations and conduct training and coaching opportunities on controls, policies, and financial metrics.
  • Perform all monthly financial forecasts and prepare all GAAP reports and provide an efficient interface to FP&A.
  • Assist plant manager and plant management team to achieve all business objectives, making tradeoff analysis and conducting ad-hoc analysis as plant situations change.
  • With plant leadership, develop the capital budget for the annual operating plan for the plant and for the strategic plan to ensure appropriate resources are secured.
  • Work closely with operations to ensure a robust planning and analysis tool to support repairs and maintenance spending focusing on controls and cost optimization.
  • Evaluate all reports and maintain financial accuracy for all plant processes and analyze business and operational trends and provide required explanations.
  • Provide support to ad hoc projects and analyze associated financial presentations to ensure accuracy
  • Actively recommend improvement to all operational practices and processes.
  • Provide support to the information technology team to implement all new systems and processes.
  • Resolve technical financial reporting issues and provide financial and controllership technical assistance to all teams.
  • Determine and maintain all accounting principles and processes and ensure compliance to US GAAP regulations and SOX.
  • Evaluate the performance of all plant activities to help ensure achievement of goals and prepare and analyze all financial statements.
  • Design and maintain all standard cost of all plant products.
  • Reconcile all physical inventory and maintain accuracy in transactions and records for all inventory and perform audits on a regular basis.

EXPERIENCE

SALARY
Base Salary Range: $130,000 - $175,000 annually
The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.
