As the Supervisor Inventory Mgt (Materials Supervisor), you will be responsible for ensuring materials are always available at the location level to complete production. Indirectly working with Operations and Finance teams at the location level. This position is responsible for managing materials for all projects. This is an in-office position that can office in Piedmont, SC, Tryon, NC or Lexington, SC.

What you'll do
  • Responsible for overseeing the company needs for inventory and supplies by managing vendor relationships, assessing supply needs, and ensuring that company pricing for materials is sufficient to cover material costs.
  • Keep track of and create strategy for available materials while optimizing the balance between supply availability and inventory investment.
  • Support inventory optimization
  • Lead quarterly inventory count process at multiple sites by setting expectations and deadlines from each location
  • Participate in forecasting material needs
  • Analyze inventory costs versus material revenues and identify items that result in low margins or losses in concert with the accounting team
  • Ensure material network availability

What you'll need
  • Good understanding of supply chain cycle, construction, organization structures and key metrics.
  • Demonstrates problem solving skills and working under tight timelines; multi-tasking abilities; exception-based management capability.
  • Ability to balance priorities across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to interact and build relations with senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Superb analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in related fields (Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related discipline)
  • SAP or other ERP/APS software experience and proven knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required.
  • Has good understanding of supply chain and demand planning business drivers, organization structures and key metrics.
  • Strong team skills - Collaborative management and working style.
  • Effective Communication skills
  • Should possess high degree of versatility, good interpersonal skills, and excellent time management skills; should be a team player.

Preferred qualifications
  • 4 Years minimum of applicable experience
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Understanding Construction industry, job costing strongly preferred
  • Proficient with inventory count techniques and SAP (preferred)
  • ~25% travel required to surrounding locations
