Job Title: Senior Analyst, HCMS Data Analytics II

Department: Human Resources

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports To: Senior Manager, HR - HCMS

SUMMARY
The Senior Analyst, HCMS Data Analytics II is responsible for building dashboards, reports, and analytics to assess workforce and labor trends and data as well as compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and the company's internal policies, procedures, and guidelines. Manages the labor data analytics strategy to meet the needs of the business. Builds a reporting and analytics structure to identify trends and find solutions within the company's people data. Manages the day-to-day reporting, dashboards, and visualization in all Human Capital Management systems. Directs the flow of the work, leads projects, and in-take meetings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages the labor data analytics strategy of the company. Ensuring business leaders have the necessary dashboards and analytics to make informed business decisions. Ensuring data integrity and data is represented in a clear and concise format.
  • Identifies trend and solutions within data. Ability to analyze large data sets and compile results into a clear and concise format to present findings.
  • Builds dashboards and reporting within all HCM systems, ensuring all data is readily available for the business to measure and make decisions from.
  • Manages data analytics calendar for the business, priorities for the year, cyclically calendar, and ad-hoc requests.
  • Partners with the HCM Analysts and IT team to ensure all data requests from the business are met.
  • Stays abreast of HCM systems releases related to reporting and data analytics. Test and implement necessary improvements to grow the abilities of the system to serve the business.
  • Performs system release testing. Test all changes in the system before implementation and audit reporting and dashboard for data integeriy to avoid negative downstream impacts and streamline implementation in production.
  • Prepares ad hoc queries and analyses as well as recurring reports and metrics to assess business performance and trends.
  • Calculates and tracks key performance indicators and metrics monthly, quarterly, and annually. Identifying trends and finding solutions within the data. Able to summarize findings and tell a story with the data.
  • Prepares data submissions and analyses in response to federal, state, and local governmental agency requests.
  • Mentors and delegates work to other HCM analysts to develop and train the team.
  • Partners with leadership across the company to determine business needs and issues and determine what data, reporting, and dashboards are needed for each request.
  • Acts as a resource to the Human Resources department and other areas in the creation and interpretation of data requests, reports, and analyses. Acts as the point of contact for other departments for the collection of data and conducting analysis in the Human Resources department.
  • Makes recommendations on adjustments or actions needed based on analysis.
  • Acts as subject matter expert related to data analytics and reporting in all HCM systems which includes creating reports, automating reoccurring metrics, calculating fields, and dashboards.
  • Ensures data integrity and accuracy within the HCM systems.
  • Protects the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.
  • Measurable Outcomes: Ensuring the business is utilizing it's people-related data to measure business outcomes and find solutions. Data integrity is monitored and validated for all reporting and dashboard, so data is reliable and trustworthy. Stay abreast of new system releases, so the organization's data analytics tools remains efficient, productive and modern.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • No supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Information Technology preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Workday required.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred.
