Job description

Infratech Corporation (the company) is a leading utility contracting firm seeking a highly qualified regional manager or vice president to lead our Carolinas Operations. The company offers overhead and underground distribution services to investor owned, cooperative, municipal, and federal government utilities. The company was established in 1994.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, analytical and interpersonal skills and possess a proven track record for managing team members and multiple service contracts for various utilities. He/she will report to the CEO and work with senior members of the management team. In addition, they will be tasked with developing other contracts in the Carolinas and surrounding region.

The candidate should have 15+ years of experience managing energy utility field operations and possess demonstrated strength in the following areas:

· The ability to manage project execution for multiple customers and demonstrate an in-depth understanding of utility customer contracts and requirements.

· Proven success maintaining and improving performance and profitability through process analysis and improvement, including partnering initiatives to effectively manage the company’s resources.

· Experience managing both in-house crews and subcontractors, including workload planning and scheduling.

· Proven ability to lead/mentor subordinates

· Understanding the role of collaboration and accountability in upholding culture and expectations in an organization.

· Technical knowledge of power distribution construction techniques including directional drilling, latest processes related to excavation and line construction, equipment placement, gas distribution construction, and OH and UG power journeyman line work.

· Track record of managing rehabilitation, overhead to underground conversion, and hardening of existing power distribution systems.

· Proven ability to operate as a self-starter, managing a remote business unit/area and possessing strong computer, problem solving and communication skills while embracing company values and standards.

· Established relationships and/or proven business development skills and knowledge related to electric and gas utility distribution contracts.

· Must understand the importance of safety, training, and quality control in the industry and be a strong champion of the company’s safety and training programs.

The position will be based in Carolinas and includes approximately 30% travel. A competitive salary, bonus and benefits package will be offered to the right individual.
