Celestia Antwerp BV is active in the space sector enabling customers to fulfill their needs when it comes to Satellite Integration with products ranging from Ground Station Products to Test Systems.

Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Software Engineer will join the department in charge of the development of satellite communication products. These include equipment covering a wide span of products such as high-speed data receivers used in scientific missions, telecommand and telemetry baseband modems, RF digitizers, RF frequency converters and many others.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Actively contribute to the development of real‑time software applications, including Linux kernel device driver, CCSDS communication protocol stack, Monitoring & Control agent, Web‑GUI…
  • Play a key role in the software architectural design activities, finding synergies amongst products.
  • Participate in conferences and sometimes present technical achievements.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Master’s degree in software engineering or equivalent through experience.
  • Strong C / C++ development skills on Linux are mandatory.
  • Proven experience with developing high‑performance multi‑threaded “real time” software applications.
  • Solid understanding of Linux systems programming (POSIX threads, synchronization mechanisms, shared memory, IPC, process scheduling).
  • Experience with high‑speed data transfer (PCIe, DMA, DPDK) is a strong asset.
  • Experience with containers and deployment technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation and interface specifications.
  • Highly motivated, team player, dynamic, creative, sense of ownership and commitment.
  • Fluent in English is mandatory.
