This position is for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer within the File Storage Engineering team. This team provides File Storage solutions to meet our business partner's needs and growing demand of this platform. As part of this team, you will work closely with architecture to assess new solutions, certify releases and make recommendations on go-forward strategies in the object storage space. You will also work closely with operational support, providing guidance and Level 2 support as needed.
In this role you will:

  • Lead or participate in high level technical concepts spanning technology and business
  • Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutions
  • Contribute to the testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirements
  • Drive solutions to reduce recovery
  • Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management and key rotations
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
  • Design complex system upgrades
  • Resolve troublesome trends as they develop
  • Develop a long range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring
  • Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of file storage experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a Object, SAN and backup environment

This position works with a variety of technologies so experience in one or more of these areas is preferred:

  • Storage: NetApp, Oracle
  • Operating Systems: Windows, VMWare, Linux
  • Databases: SQL, Oracle
  • Network: Cisco, Firewalls
  • Languages: Python
