Job description

Who we are.

Grain Millers, Inc. is a leading manufacturer and merchandiser of whole grain ingredients used in food products around the world. While you may not know our name, you've almost certainly enjoyed our products. For 40 years, we've supplied ingredients to nearly every major food company in North America. With almost 1,100 employees across the U.S. and Canada, our Eden Prairie, MN headquarters supports a growing network of mills, warehouses, and production facilities.

Why we need you.

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Eden Prairie. As we continue a multi-year modernization journey, we are investing in technology to standardize processes, strengthen security, and scale our operations.

We are transforming how technology powers our business-from plant-floor operations to enterprise collaboration. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be a critical driver of this transformation, designing and supporting modern, secure, and scalable infrastructure across a multi-site manufacturing environment. You'll help us move from reactive support to proactive, automated operations while enabling resilient systems that support both IT and OT environments.

Who you'll be working with.

You'll collaborate closely with infrastructure, security, application, and OT teams, as well as plant operations stakeholders across multiple locations. This role partners broadly across the organization to ensure systems are reliable, standardized, and aligned with business needs. You will also act as a senior technical resource and mentor, supporting engineers and administrators while contributing to long-term infrastructure roadmaps and modernization initiatives.

Who you are.

You are a hands-on technical expert with a passion for building and improving systems that are secure, scalable, and resilient. You bring deep experience across infrastructure, identity, cloud, and collaboration platforms, and you thrive in complex environments where uptime and performance are critical. You're equally comfortable troubleshooting high-impact issues as you are designing long-term solutions.

Just as importantly, you're a collaborative and thoughtful communicator. You build trust with teammates and stakeholders, share knowledge generously, and approach challenges with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. You can translate technical concepts into clear outcomes, stay organized in fast-paced environments, and bring a continuous improvement mindset to everything you do.

What you'll do.

  • Design, implement, and maintain server, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure environments
  • Administer Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID, Group Policy, and identity integrations
  • Manage Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Ensure high availability, performance, monitoring, and disaster recovery readiness
  • Lead security initiatives including patching, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening
  • Support virtualization and backup/recovery platforms (e.g., VMware, Veeam)
  • Provide escalation support for critical incidents and perform root cause analysis
  • Mentor team members and contribute to infrastructure standards and modernization roadmaps

What you bring.

  • 6โ€“8+ years of experience in systems or infrastructure engineering
  • Strong expertise in Windows Server and Active Directory environments
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem and hybrid identity
  • Experience with virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
  • Solid networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, firewalls)
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-system technical issues
  • Experience supporting high-availability production environments
  • Strong communication, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills
  • Must be able to headquarter out of our Eden Prairie, MN office.

What we offer.

Grain Millers offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Our 401(k) plan includes a generous company match. Employees at our Eden Prairie office enjoy a modern workplace, covered parking, a fitness center, and a collaborative environment that encourages continuous improvement and personal growth.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability or protected veteran status.
