## Senior Mechanical Engineer, R&DApplylocations: Portage, Michigantime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: R569322Work Flexibility: Hybrid**Senior Mechanical Engineer, R&D***Portage, MI*As a Senior Mechanical Engineer on our Research & Development team, you will contribute to the design, development, and verification of orthopedic instrument products while collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle.**Work Flexibility:** Hybrid: candidates must reside within commuting distance of Portage, MI and be able to work onsite 4 days per week.**What You Will Do*** Design, develop, and verify mechanical components, assemblies, and subsystems for medical devices.* Translate product and user requirements into engineering specifications and detailed mechanical designs.* Create prototypes and conduct testing to evaluate product performance, functionality, and design feasibility.* Analyze technical data and investigate design challenges to identify and implement engineering solutions.* Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including design records and technical reports, in accordance with regulatory requirements.* Apply design control, risk management, and quality system requirements throughout the product development process.* Partner with Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, and other stakeholders to support project milestones and design reviews.* Manage project priorities and engineering deliverables to support program timelines and development objectives.**What You Will Need****Required Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.* Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in product development, mechanical design, or a related field.**Preferred Qualifications*** Experience creating engineering drawings and 3D models using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software; Creo preferred.* Experience working in the medical device industry or another regulated industry.* Knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.* Familiarity with design controls, risk management, and product development documentation requirements.* Experience supporting verification testing and technical analysis activities.$77,700 - $129,500 USD AnnualTravel Percentage: 20%Stryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
