Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced radar signal processing algorithms for radar systems.

  • Design, develop, analyze, and test radar system and software architectures, including algorithms for detection, discrimination, and tracking.

  • Model, simulate, and analyze system designs to demonstrate performance metrics and optimize signal-processing solutions.

Job description

SoloPulse Corp is a dual‑use radar company committed to the relentless exploration of the frontiers of radar sensing technology. Located in Atlanta, GA, SoloPulse is a venture‑backed startup cultivating strategic collaborations to proactively address critical safety imperatives and emerging autonomy needs across both civilian and military domains. Our team comprises accomplished engineers, seasoned advisors, and experienced startup veterans, all driven by a mission to change the way the world sees.

We are seeking a Radar Signal Processing Engineer to develop and implement advanced algorithms for radar systems contributing to the success of critical commercial defense projects. To excel, you must possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of radar signal processing techniques, and a drive to continuously improve and innovate.

Responsibilities
  • Technical challenges covering antennas, the entire transmit and receive chain, radar system modeling, ground‑moving target identification, electronic warfare, maritime surveillance, image processing, and algorithm development for advanced radar image products and exploitation.
  • Design, develop, and analyze radar system and software architectures.
  • Design, implement, and test algorithms for detection, discrimination and tracking systems.
  • Model and simulate system designs to demonstrate performance metrics.
  • Develop unique solutions and efficient implementations of signal‑processing algorithms for challenging mission applications.
  • Use industry signal‑processing tools such as IDL, MATLAB, Python, or C++ to analyze data and generate algorithms.
  • Analyze system‑level signal propagation, RF system performance, and requirements development and review.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including mechanical, software, program management, and senior leadership.
Nice To Have
  • Experience with FMCW and automotive radar signal‑processing chains.
  • Experience with MIMO arrays and subspace AoA estimation techniques.
  • Experience with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) signal‑processing algorithms such as back‑projection, polar formatting, range‑migration algorithm, etc.
  • Proficiency with AESA/PESA system architectures.
Qualifications
  • BS in mathematics, physics, engineering, or related field with at least 2+ years of experience.
  • MS in mathematics, physics, engineering, or related field with 0‑2+ years of experience.
  • Experience in radar signal processing, probability and statistics, and algorithm development.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, C/C++, and Python.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.

Joining this role gives you the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that shape the future of radar technology. Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and equity grants are included.

Salary range: 90,000 USD – 120,000 USD per year (base only). Equity grants and benefits are also part of the offer.

Benefits include: health, dental, and vision coverage; closed corporate days every other Friday; generous holiday calendar; unlimited PTO; 401(k) retirement plan with 4% company match; professional development stipend; desk‑setup stipend; relocation assistance (depending on role eligibility).

To comply with U.S. Government export regulations, including ITAR, you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required authorizations.
