Senior Helper information

What is a Senior Helper?

Senior Helpers are professional caregivers who provide support and assistance to elderly individuals, often helping with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, medication reminders, and companionship. They may work in private homes, assisted living facilities, or other care settings to help seniors maintain their independence and quality of life. Senior Helpers can also offer specialized care for individuals with conditions like dementia or mobility challenges, tailoring their services to meet each person's unique needs.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Senior Helper, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Senior Helper, you need experience in caregiving, knowledge of elderly care best practices, and often a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with mobility aids, basic medical equipment, and first aid or CPR certification is typically required. Patience, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills are crucial for building trust and providing emotional support to seniors. These abilities ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of elderly clients while facilitating a positive caregiving environment.

What are some common challenges faced by senior helpers when supporting clients with varying needs?

Senior Helpers often encounter the challenge of adapting to each client’s unique needs and preferences, which can range from physical assistance with mobility to providing companionship or supporting cognitive health. Balancing these responsibilities while maintaining clear communication with family members and healthcare professionals is essential. Flexibility, patience, and strong interpersonal skills are vital for navigating unexpected changes in a client’s condition or routine, ensuring care remains compassionate and effective.

We are looking for exceptional, detail-oriented leaders with an expert-level background in Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) or Primavera P6 and a passion for training project teams to help us drive customer satisfaction, company profit, and personal job mastery. Are you looking for the right company to take your career to the next level? If so, please read on!

We are looking for the best candidate for our team and are offering a competitive annual salary of $140,000 – $175,000 (depending on experience and qualifications). This position can be based out of either our Vernal or North Salt Lake, UT office, depending on the location of the right candidate. This position also includes an extensive compensation package including weekly pay, health, vision, dental, life insurance, a 401(k) plan with match, and paid time off. If this sounds like the right opportunity to drive excellence, consider joining our team today!

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in construction scheduling using Oracle Primavera software (P6 or Oracle Primavera Cloud - OPC) required.
  • Fully versed in all aspects of OPC administration, shortcuts, resource loading/leveling, and advanced software functions.
  • Familiar with stringent industry scheduling standards (e.g., USACE/Army Corps of Engineers, Federal Govt., DFCM) and expert in construction phasing/sequences across assigned divisions.
  • Well-versed in forensic schedule analysis and schedule impact exhibit creation to champion the careful implementation of scheduling and guard BHI against claims.
  • Expert in Lean, the Last Planner System, Takt planning, linear schedules, phasing maps, site logistics maps, and competent in facilitating pull planning sessions.
  • Proven ability to analyze schedules for risk, serve as a trusted resource to project teams, and train teams on the BHI scheduling system, visual management tools, and dashboarding requirements.

We are looking for a self-driven professional who pays attention to detail and can lead with minimal supervision. Do you have a proactive, positive, and professional attitude? Are you able to provide a consistently superior experience with clients, trades, and project teams while maintaining high integrity? Do you have a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety? If so, you might just be perfect for this Senior Construction Scheduler position!
