Job Description:

The Assistant Coach for Wentworth Club Rowing works with the head coach to provide supervision and effective leadership to the rowing club sport program. Responsibilities include fostering skill development and teamwork among students; promoting and upholding institute policies and procedures; andinitiatingactivities in support of the rowing team.

This position collaborates with the head coach to provide skill and developmental support to the team.

A member of the coaching staffis required tobe at all practices & events.

Minimum Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree.

Minimum Knowledge Required:

  • Working knowledge of fundamental concepts of rowing, practices and procedures related to, and ability to apply in varied situations. Use instructions and guidelines to perform the job safety function. Periodic training will berequired.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Ability to trailer boats to events.

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Level I US Rowing Certification.

  • Boating Safety License.

  • Knowledge of skill development and US Rowing rules and regulations.

  • Ability to work with and develop a variety of experience and skill levels.

  • The coach must attend all practices and regattas.

Preferred Knowledge Required:

  • Working knowledge of concepts,practices and proceduresand ability to use in varied situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previouscoaching experience.

  • Skill development experience.

  • Team building experience.

Position Details:

At this time, the university is unable to sponsor applicants for H-1B visas.

Club Sport Coach's compensation varies based on seasons. The minimum assistant coach rate for this role is $2,500 per season.
