Job Requirements
• We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer to lead the configuration, customization, and integration of our PolicyCenter applications within the Guidewire Cloud (SaaS) environment. As a key technical lead, you will bridge the gap between complex P&C insurance business requirements and robust, cloud-native technical solutions. You will lead end-to-end implementations, mentor junior developers, and ensure best practices for code quality, scalability, and performance in a Guidewire Cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities
• SaaS/Cloud Development: Design, configure, and implement PolicyCenter enhancements on the Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP), utilizing Gosu and Guidewire Studio.
• Integration & APIs: Build scalable integrations using Integration Gateway, App Events, and Cloud APIs (REST/JSON) to connect PolicyCenter with BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and external systems.
• Product Model (APD): Build and maintain advanced product hierarchies, coverages, terms, modifiers, and templates using Advanced Product Designer (APD).
• Rating Engine: Implement complex rating logic, rate tables, routines, and actuarial-driven pricing logic within the PolicyCenter Rating Engine.
• Technical Leadership: Lead and perform peer code reviews to ensure adherence to Best Practices, Cloud Assurance, and security standards.
• Technical Documentation: Produce and maintain high-quality technical design documents, configuration maps, and cloud runbooks.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior and mid-level developers on Gosu best practices, APD, and cloud-native integration patterns.
• Agile Collaboration: Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives) and collaborate with QA to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Experience: 610+ years of hands-on experience in Guidewire Configuration/Integration, with at least 3-5+ years specifically in PolicyCenter.
• Guidewire Cloud: Proven experience implementing Guidewire PolicyCenter on the Guidewire Cloud Platform (SaaS).
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Gosu programming and Guidewire Studio.
• Integration Technologies: Strong hands-on experience with REST APIs, Integration Gateway, messaging frameworks, and batch processes.
• Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of P&C Insurance products, commercial/specialty lines, and policy lifecycles.
• Tooling: Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), Git, and Jira.
• Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications: Guidewire Certified Associate/Professional/Ace in PolicyCenter Configuration or Integration.
• Cloud Skills: Experience with AWS or Azure services.
• Experience: Previous involvement in major PolicyCenter Greenfield implementation.
