Job Summary:
The Swift Group, LLC is a mission-driven services and solutions company headquartered in Reston, VA. They are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to support a modernization program in Herndon, VA, involving collaboration with various teams and updating applications and tech stacks.
Responsibilities:
• Provides guidance to all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Analyzes user / business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needs
• Creates advanced models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application
• Provides analysis for reports on software project specifications, activities, or status
• Guide and mentor more junior analysts
• Consult across multiple programs and/or contracts within a division
Qualifications:
Required:
• 11+ years of full stack software engineering experience
• Proficiency with Angular
• Proficiency with Java
• Willing to develop and implement solutions in a dispersed team environment
• Experience working on a Scrum team supporting Lean Agile Framework
• Experience conducting routine quality assurance (QA) activities such as peer reviews
• Experience with Git and Jenkins
• Demonstrated experience with webservice design and development
• Experience with continuous integration / continuous development (CI/CD), test automation, and DevOps
• Familiar with Linux environments
• Experience translating system requirements from both formal and informal requirements into complex application interfaces
• Knowledge of Java Database Connectivity (JDBC), Open Database Connectivity (ODBC), or direct database interfaces
• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
Preferred:
• Experience implementing microservices (preferably micro frontend)
• Government customer architecture / engineering board experience
• Experience implementing AWS cloud solutions
• Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with distributed data architectures
• Experience discussing technical topics with non-technical people
• Puppet module development Terraform development
• Remains up to date in industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills
