Improving is searching for a Sr. Software Engineer - Full Stack to work in a fast-paced environment with Engineering, Quality Assurance and Operations teams to deliver exceptional and high-quality products and services.  

About the job:

The Senior Software Engineer must have enterprise-level experience to work on full stack eCommerce greenfield solutions.  Seeking an individual that has experience in designing a robust and scalable service layer to power company wide applications.  The ideal developer is a fast learner and well-rounded individual with a "can do" attitude willing to jump in where necessary regardless of job description.

About you:

You have a passion for code and putting the customer first and delivering an exceptional experience through the creation of quality products and services. You are talented in creating enterprise applications in e-Commerce environments, specifically in designing robust and scalable service layers to power company-wide applications.

 Responsibilities:

  • Participate in full stack, greenfield, design and architecture in Agile environment
  • Collaborate across other teams in the company to improve product delivery and quality, promoting improved software practices and operational support.
  • May also include in part the utilization of procured source code including evaluating, customizing and extending it. 
  • Research and evaluate technologies that create value for the company

Big Plusses:

  • Message Bus experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of configuration management, such as Ansible/Puppet/Chef/RPM
  • Knowledge of Terraform, Consul, Vault, Packer and other HashiCorp tools
  • Knowledge of Docker, rkt or similar containerization tooling
  • Knowledge of management of containerized applications, Kubernetes or similar
  • Key Value based NOSQL experience (Redis experience a plus)

Qualifications
  • Senior level applications development experience with several years focused on mid and back of the stack development.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC process
  • Proven and strong programming skills in C# .NET, .Net Core Microservices, and Javascript or AngularJS
  • SOA experience with an enterprise solution highly desirable (such as MuleSoft or Oracle SOA for examples)
  • Experience in both Functional Programming and Object-Oriented Design.
  • Experience writing unit, integration and end-to-end tests.
  • Experience across a wide variety of AWS technologies like S3, EMR, Redshift, Lambda, SNS and EC2
  • Strong experience with NoSQL and relational databases such as Elasticsearch and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with continuous integration, DevOps tools such as Bamboo/Jenkins
  • Experience with version control and code repository tools. Experience should include:  GitLab, and GitHub (You should know how to create, delete, merge branches as well as create pull requests etc.)
  • Deep desire for learning new technologies and problem solving
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
