Job Overview:

The Senior Compensation Partner is a strategic advisor responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation programs that align with the organizationโ€™s business objectives, talent strategy, and market competitiveness. This role partners closely with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), Finance, and business leaders to ensure compensation practices drive performance, attract and retain talent, and maintain internal equity and external competitiveness.

Strategic Compensation Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of compensation strategies aligned with business priorities and talent needs.
  • Provide expert guidance to senior leaders on compensation philosophy, pay decisions, and market trends.
  • Evaluate and recommend innovative compensation programs to support organizational growth and transformation.

Program Design & Administration

  • Design, implement, and manage base pay, variable pay (bonus/incentive), and equity programs (if applicable).
  • Lead the annual compensation processes, including merit planning, bonus cycles, and market adjustments.
  • Ensure programs are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with company performance.

Market Analysis & Benchmarking

  • Conduct job evaluations and pricing using market data (e.g., salary surveys, benchmarking tools such as PayFactors).
  • Analyze compensation trends and provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Maintain salary structures, pay ranges, and compensation frameworks.

Consultation & Business Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HRBPs and business leaders on compensation-related matters.
  • Provide recommendations for offers, promotions, retention strategies, and organizational changes.
  • Deliver data-driven insights to support workforce planning and decision-making.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local pay regulations (e.g., pay equity, transparency laws).
  • Conduct pay equity analyses and recommend corrective actions where needed.
  • Maintain documentation and governance processes for compensation programs.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Develop and analyze compensation metrics, dashboards, and reports.
  • Utilize HRIS and compensation tools to ensure data integrity and actionable insights.
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear, concise manner.

Project Leadership

  • Lead or support cross-functional initiatives such as job architecture design, job leveling, or system implementations.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience. Program Design & Administration
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can):
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 6+ years of progressive compensation experience, including strategic program design.
  • Deep expertise in compensation program design, market analysis, and salary structures.
  • Experience supporting multi-location/manufacturing organizations preferred.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or similar certification preferred.
Also want to make sure you have:
  • Deep knowledge of compensation principles, market analysis, and job evaluation methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to partner with senior leaders
  • Proficiency in compensation systems and tools (Payfactors, HRSoft, etc.)
