Senior Full Stack Developers are experienced professionals who design, develop, and maintain both the front-end and back-end components of web applications. They are proficient in multiple programming languages and frameworks, enabling them to handle servers, databases, APIs, and user interfaces. In addition to coding, they often lead development teams, make architectural decisions, and ensure software quality and scalability. Their expertise allows them to oversee the entire application lifecycle, from concept to deployment.

How does a senior full stack developer typically collaborate with cross-functional teams during a project lifecycle?

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you'll frequently collaborate with designers, product managers, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver end-to-end solutions. You'll be involved in requirements discussions, offer technical guidance, and help align frontend and backend development with business goals. Your role often includes code reviews, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring seamless integration across various systems. This collaborative environment encourages knowledge sharing and innovation while ensuring project success.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a senior full stack developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Senior Full Stack Developer, you need advanced proficiency in both front-end and back-end programming languages, frameworks, and a solid understanding of software architecture, usually supported by a relevant degree and several years of experience. Mastery of tools such as Git, Docker, CI/CD systems, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is typically required, alongside familiarity with databases and version control systems. Strong problem-solving abilities, leadership, effective communication, and collaboration skills set exceptional developers apart. Job description

Description:

Our engineering teams build modern, customer-facing software on a composable architecture using React, Next.js, Node.js, and AWS. We are continuing to strengthen both delivery execution and engineering excellence across the stack.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who wants to contribute at a high technical level while taking on broader responsibility within the team. This role goes beyond implementing stories. It involves shaping solutions, reinforcing standards, and partnering closely with our Software Architect to elevate overall execution.

If you enjoy building high-quality software and influencing how a team works, this role offers meaningful ownership and growth.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement production-ready features across the stack
  • Contribute significantly to front-end quality, maintainability, and craftsmanship
  • Partner with the Software Architect on solution design and technical direction
  • Help reinforce engineering standards around testing, performance, observability, and automation
  • Lead by example in code reviews and technical discussions
  • Take ownership of complex features from design through deployment
  • Share responsibility for maintaining technical quality and execution discipline within the team
  • Contribute to improving how the team delivers software, not just what it delivers

The Environment You'll Work In

  • Frontend: React, Next.js, Angular, TypeScript
  • Backend: Node.js, Java, REST APIs
  • Eventing: Kafka
  • Cloud: AWS (EC2, S3, CloudFormation, Lambda)
  • Tooling: Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, Dynatrace, Snyk, AI-assisted development tools
  • Platform: Composable microservices architecture with select Hybris-powered components
Requirements:
  • Strong full-stack engineering experience, with particular strength in front-end implementation and UI quality
  • Deep understanding of modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable, maintainable features
  • Experience operating as a senior contributor within a sprint team
  • Confidence participating in architectural discussions and contributing design ideas
  • Comfort helping uphold standards and guiding peers toward stronger execution
  • Pragmatic thinking that balances quality, performance, and delivery speed

What Makes This Role Different

  • You will partner directly with a Software Architect rather than simply receiving designs
  • You will have meaningful influence over how solutions are built
  • You will contribute to shared technical leadership within the team
  • You will have opportunities to grow into broader technical ownership over time
  • Your impact will extend beyond individual tickets to team-level quality and discipline

What You Won't Be Doing

  • You won’t be limited to implementing tickets without understanding the broader design
  • You won’t be working in isolation from architectural discussions
  • You won’t be expected to “just code” without contributing to how solutions are shaped
  • You won’t be left alone to solve systemic challenges without support
  • You won’t be stuck in a narrow front-end niche without opportunities to grow across the stack

If you’re looking for a role where you can build great software while expanding your technical influence and responsibility, we’d love to talk.

What We're Offering

  • Company-paid life insurance with additional voluntary coverage options
