Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer in Lansing, MI.
Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with strong AI-assisted development experience. They should be a clear communicator and a solution-oriented engineer who can work effectively in fast-paced development environments.
This role requires hands-on experience using AI coding tools (such as GitHub Copilot or similar assistants) to support development, improve code quality, and increase delivery efficiency. The candidate must also be able to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated code to ensure correctness, performance, and security before production use.
REQUIREMENTS:
* The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to design and deliver scalable technical solutions
* Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar tools) for code generation, debugging, and optimization
* Ability to write and refine prompts to guide AI-assisted development workflows
* Experience validating AI-generated code for correctness, performance, and security
Core Java development experience:
* Java EE
* RESTful microservices

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
