Application Developer — .NET / Cloud / Power Platform (Ref: 5779)
Location: Remote on Pacific Time Zone M-F from 8-5pm PST

Position Summary:
Estrada Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Application Developer to support the design, development, testing, integration, and implementation of a custom cloud-based enterprise application for a state-government client.
Working under the direction of the Application Architect and Senior Developer, the Developer will build application features, user interfaces, workflows, integrations, reports, data components, and automated processes using C#/.NET, cloud technologies, Microsoft Power Platform, APIs, and relational databases.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain application functionality using C#/.NET and modern web-development technologies.
  • Develop user interfaces, forms, data-entry screens, search capabilities, and application workflows.
  • Develop and configure Microsoft Power Platform components, including Power Apps and Power Automate workflows.
  • Develop cloud-hosted application components and services.
  • Build functionality supporting assignments, notifications, status tracking, approvals, deadlines, and workflow routing.
  • Develop and consume REST APIs and web services.
  • Support integration with external and internal government systems.
  • Develop database queries, application data-access components and supporting SQL objects.
  • Implement XML/JSON data processing and data exchange.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, queues, filters, and operational views.
  • Develop document-generation and export capabilities.
  • Implement application validation, error handling, logging and audit functionality.
  • Implement role-based permissions and security requirements under established architecture.
  • Develop accessible user interfaces consistent with WCAG 2.2 AA requirements.
  • Write unit tests and participate in integration and system testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow established architecture and development standards.
  • Support source-control, CI/CD, deployment, configuration and release activities.
  • Document developed components and participate in technical knowledge transfer.
  • Participate in Agile development activities, including requirements clarification, estimation, sprint planning, development, testing and demonstrations.

Desired Qualifications:
  • 5-7+ years of professional application/software development experience.
  • Experience with C#, .NET/.NET Core and ASP.NET.
  • Experience developing web-based applications.
  • Experience with AWS or another major cloud platform.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and/or Power Automate.
  • Experience developing or consuming REST APIs.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front-end development technologies.
  • Experience with XML and JSON.
  • Experience with Git/source control.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and automated deployment.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of application security and role-based access.
  • Knowledge of accessible web-development practices and WCAG standards.
  • Government or public-sector development experience preferred.
