Job description

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and we're looking for talented people who want to help.
You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
Come join the Amazon Route 53 Console team

We're based in Vancouver, BC, and are hiring experienced front-end engineers. We're a tight-knit team responsible for one of the most heavily used sections of the AWS console.
We're passionate about our customers and about running a highly available distributed platform on the Internet. We thrive on using our technical skills to define new products in the face of requirements that can be fast-changing and ambiguous

We love to experiment, whether it's hackathons or evaluating new front-end frameworks and design patterns. We enjoy working closely with product, UX, and service engineers to build elegant web applications that delight customers.
The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization capitalizes on Amazon's scale, speed, ability to build, invent, and simplify a resilient and sustainable company. We manage our social and environmental impacts globally and drive solutions that enable our customers, businesses, and the world to become more sustainable.
Key job responsibilities
Develop and maintain secure frontend interfaces for Route 53 DNS management console using React and TypeScript
Implement security controls for DNS configuration interfaces to prevent misconfigurations that could lead to security vulnerabilities
Build intuitive user interfaces for managing DNS records, health checks, and traffic policies
Collaborate with security architects to implement safeguards against DNS-related threats (cache poisoning, zone transfers)
Create responsive designs that maintain security integrity across device types
Integrate frontend applications with Route 53 APIs following secure coding practices
Implement proper input validation for DNS record creation and modification
Participate in security reviews for Route 53 console features
Debug and resolve frontend security issues related to DNS management
Write automated tests to validate security controls in the Route 53 console
Document security features implemented in the Route 53 frontend
Stay current with DNS security threats and mitigation techniques
Contribute to incident response for DNS-related security events
About the team
Our team is dedicated to supporting new members

We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we're building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. Our senior members enjoy one-on-one mentoring and thorough, but kind, code reviews. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded engineer and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.
