The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to lead the development of a new mobile application and supporting cloud platform.


As a Senior Robotics Software Engineer, you'll work across mobile, web and cloud technologies, making key architectural decisions and writing production-quality software that interfaces with connected robotic systems and large volumes of data.


This is a hands-on Senior Robotics Software Engineer position with significant ownership and the opportunity to shape the technical direction of the platform as the team grows.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the architecture, development and deployment of a greenfield mobile application and supporting cloud platform.
  • Build scalable REST APIs, backend services, databases and distributed systems, alongside high-performance mobile and web interfaces.
  • Establish best practices across software architecture, testing, CI/CD and observability, while providing technical leadership to the wider engineering team.


What We're Looking For

  • Extensive software engineering experience, with strong React experience and a track record of building production software.
  • Strong experience building production mobile applications and cloud-native platforms, ideally using GCP, alongside RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
  • Strong software architecture, database and distributed systems experience, with SQL/NoSQL, event-driven architectures, CI/CD and automated testing.


We're looking for a Senior Robotics Software Engineer who can take ownership of complex software problems, make sound architectural decisions and build reliable systems from the ground up.


Nice to Have

  • Experience integrating software with robotics, hardware, sensors, IoT or edge devices.
  • Experience with computer vision, machine learning or image processing.
  • Experience with offline-first applications, data synchronisation or high-availability systems.
