What you will do in this role

This role will work closely with the CFO and Sr Director Finance to prepare presentations highlighting company performance for Atticus. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for gaining an understanding of the financial and non-financial metrics of Atticus that underscore Company performance. Responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing analysis, and taking a significant role in the annual budgeting process, including current year monthly projections. This role will also be responsible for coordinating and organizing the Annual 5-Year Plan. In order to be successful in this role, the candidate must have a strong general finance and accounting background, preferably with public consulting or accounting experience. This role requires the ability to understand data, trends, and financials and present ideas in a simple yet creative and thoughtful approach. The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with the CFO to prepare monthly, companywide financial presentations, including analysis of performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop clear, compelling PowerPoint presentations for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Translate complex financial data into a cohesive narrative that explains company performance, trends, and forwardlooking expectations.
  • Support the annual budgeting process, including gathering assumptions, validating inputs, building financial models, and preparing presentations for companywide rollout.
  • Work with crossfunctional teams to accumulate budget inputs and ensure proper support and documentation around assumptions.
  • Assist in preparing bankfacing budget decks that articulate assumptions, trends, and financial strategy.
  • Experience with financial due diligence (on buy side or sell side) management and document preparation and collection, including reviewing quality of earning reports.
  • Provide visibility into revenue performance and identify variances in sales compared to target and meet with the sales team to track progress toward quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Recommend and track key performance indicators and provide deepdive analysis on financial performance, including margin trends, cost drivers, and operational KPIs such as volume metrics, including calculating pounds of tech sold.
  • Serve as a member of the Quantitative Team (Q-Team) helping to improve visibility into financial and operational metrics.
  • Work closely with teams across finance, accounting, sales, operations, pricing & rebates, and other departments to support projects, validate data, and ensure alignment.
  • Build slides, dashboards, and reports that enhance decisionmaking and improve communication of financial insights.
  • Apply a strong understanding of accounting principles to interpret financial results and visualize trends across revenue, expenses, margins, and cash flow.
  • Identify anomalies, inconsistencies, or emerging patterns in financial data and communicate insights to leadership.
  • Execute special projects and ad hoc analyses as requested.
  • Assist Finance team with ad-hoc requests and other day-to-day operational support as needed.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of four years of relevant work experience in Accounting, FP&A, or other relevant fields is required. Experience in chemical manufacturing preferred but not required
  • CPA License preferred, but not required
  • Public Consulting and/or experience desirable
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups), MS PowerPoint (charts, graphs)
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze, simplify and communicate data
  • Familiarity with accounting software (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics AX, Oracle, SAP)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proactive communication skills along with strong initiative and balanced judgment
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Organizational skills with superior attention to detail
  • Adaptable and entrepreneurial with a background in dynamic, fastmoving business environment
  • Ability to work effectively across diverse and cross-functional teams, under critical timelines while balancing the needs of internal and external customers
