Job description

Controller / Finance Leader


Southern NH Area | On-Site

A publicly traded global manufacturing organization is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead all accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, and operational finance activities for a key production facility. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to leadership, driving financial performance, operational excellence, and business growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, financial reporting, and general ledger integrity.
  • Lead technical accounting, internal controls, GAAP compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning processes.
  • Partner with operations leadership to improve profitability, productivity, pricing, and cost performance.
  • Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and working capital optimization.
  • Deliver actionable financial analysis and operational insights to support business decisions.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, automation efforts, and ERP reporting enhancements.
  • Develop and mentor accounting and finance staff while building a high-performing finance function.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years accounting and finance experience within manufacturing.
  • Prior Controller, Plant Controller, or senior finance leadership experience.
  • Strong background in technical accounting, cost accounting, inventory, and FP&A.
  • Proven ability to partner with operations leadership and influence business results.
  • Experience in complex, multi-site, or publicly traded environments is a plus.
