Job description

Our client is a global, mission driven nonprofit organization that connects community and business leaders to address humanitarian challenges, strengthen communities, and create lasting change around the world. This is a hybrid position requiring regular onsite work in Evanston.

The Senior Financial Analyst will support financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and strategic decision making. This role will partner with business leaders to analyze financial performance, develop reporting tools, and translate complex data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long range financial plans
• Analyze monthly and quarterly results, including budget to actual and forecast variances
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support business decisions
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
• Consolidate financial and operational data from multiple sources
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities affecting financial performance
• Prepare financial packages and presentations for leadership
• Partner with department leaders on budgets, forecasts, and expense management
• Support month end close, accruals, account analysis, and financial reporting
• Improve and automate reporting processes to increase accuracy and efficiency
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• At least three years of financial analysis, FP&A, or related experience
• Hands on Power BI experience required, including dashboard and report development
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to analyze large data sets and communicate findings clearly
• Experience working with ERP and financial planning systems preferred
• Nonprofit or global organization experience preferred
• Ability to work onsite in Evanston as part of a hybrid schedule
