Job description

Our Opportunity:

Chewy seeks a highly motivated, analytical, and enthusiastic Senior Financial Analyst to join our rapidly growing Healthcare Finance team! Combining an understanding of finance, practical knowledge of financial statements and using data to make-and-drive decisions, this candidate will perform various financial planning and analysis processes to support key strategic decisions, drive Chewy Healthcare growth, and ensure financial objectives are achieved.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform modeling and analytics required to synthesize large sets of data and produce concise outputs to deliver business insights, reporting and analyses, and recommendations and/or conclusions to leadership

  • Aid in the reporting and financial performance management frameworks for the business and help define key metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall business performance

  • Work cross-functionally with the broader Finance team, the Healthcare Merchandising team, Product team, Marketing, Supply Chain and Accounting to fully understand the business, its customers, and overall operations

  • Actively participate in the strategic planning, target setting, and annual/quarterly planning processes

  • Oversee the monthly close process ensuring books and records are accurately maintained in accordance with Chewy's policies and procedures

  • Pursue continuous improvement in all areas of the business with an emphasis on Merchandising, Operations, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Finance

  • Effectively manage numerous projects at a given time in a fast-paced environment

What You'll Need:

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management or Economics

  • 3+ years relevant finance experience with a basic understanding of GAAP and grasp of financial statements

  • Financial analysis and modeling skills, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis

  • Advanced Excel (i.e. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint skills

  • Experience with SQL coding, Hyperion Smartview, Tableau, Oracle ERP

  • Ability to think creatively, work independently and as part of a team to solve problems given limited resources and time, have a strong work ethic, and adhere to deadlines

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

The base salary range for this role is $86,500 - $138,500.00.
  • The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant. C08+ positions may also be eligible for annual bonus.
