We are seeking a motivated accounting professional to join our Corporate Accounting team and support multiple entities across several states.Job OverviewThe Senior Financial Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager and supports the monthly close and financial reporting process. This role is responsible for revenue accounting, accounts receivable accounting and analytics, lease accounting, and assigned balance sheet accounts.The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable solving complex accounting issues. This role combines technical accounting, data analysis, process improvement, automation, and cross-functional collaboration to support accurate financial reporting and informed business decisions. The Senior Financial Accountant will also review work prepared by accounting associates and serve as a technical resource for the accounting team.Essential DutiesLead monthly revenue accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis.Analyze revenue and accounts receivable activity, identify trends and variances, and prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for management.Manage accounts receivable accounting and analytics, including variance research and issue resolution.Support monthly close by preparing journal entries for revenue, leases, fixed assets, accruals, and other assigned areas.Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analyses.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.Review journal entries, reconciliations, and other work prepared by accounting associates, providing guidance as needed.Research and resolve complex accounting issues by analyzing data, identifying root causes, and developing practical solutions.Partner with operational, billing, and finance teams to investigate financial trends, resolve accounting issues, and improve revenue and accounts receivable reporting.Partner with the Controller and Accounting Manager on acquisitions, system implementations, process improvements, and special projects.Stay current on U.S. GAAP and accounting guidance to support compliance and recommend process improvements.Improve accounting processes through automation, technology, and AI-enabled solutions.Knowledge & SkillsStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, accounting principles, and financial reporting.Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.Ability to analyze large data sets, identify trends, and resolve complex accounting issues.Ability to translate financial data into clear business insights for management.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Experience with Microsoft Business Central, Alteryx, Power BI, Jet Reports, and AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT is a plus.Education & ExperienceMust have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.Public accounting experience preferred.CPA or CPA-eligible status preferred.Experience with revenue accounting, accounts receivable, or financial reporting preferred.Experience with lease accounting under ASC 842 preferred.Healthcare accounting experience preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
