Position Overview:

We are seeking a senior financial accountant to join MW Fasteners finance team. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, preparing account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role works closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to support timely financial reporting, strong internal controls, audit readiness, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support month-end activities:
    • Prepare company-wide entries – payroll, depreciation, leases
    • Reconcile inter-company and selected banking activity
    • Prepare reserve (E&O, bad debt) calculation
    • Owner of credit card program and P&L entries
    • Prepare pre-paid software & insurance expenses
    • Review accounting transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper classification
    • ERP to consolidation software reconciliation
  • Prepare financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules
  • Responsible for managing MW Fasteners Admin cost center $12m spend
  • Coordinate quarterly balance sheet reviews; administrator of blackline
  • Coordinate internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
  • Assist with tax, statutory, and compliance reporting requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA, CMA, MBA, preferred, but not required).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or 5-8 years of industry experience, preferably within manufacturing/industrial space
  • Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Experience with inventory accounting, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions
  • Experience in managing audits within public company environment
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Visual, Epicor) and consolidation software (Hyperion, Adaptive)
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
