Sr. Field Application Engineer
Location: Rochester Hills, MI Reports To: Sr. Group Manager, Product Strategy & Transformation

Help define the future of automotive networking before it reaches the road.
As a Sr. Field Application Engineer , you will operate at the intersection of automotive OEMs, semiconductor partners, and industry leaders to identify emerging technology opportunities and influence next-generation vehicle architectures. You will leverage technical expertise and market knowledge to shape Molex strategy, create new growth opportunities, and position Molex solutions early in platform development cycles.
What You Will Do
  • Build strategic relationships with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and semiconductor companies
  • Identify new business opportunities aligned to Automotive Ethernet, high-speed connectivity, and software-defined vehicle trends
  • Influence early-stage platform and reference design decisions that create long-term growth opportunities for Molex
  • Monitor market, technology, and competitive trends and translate insights into actionable business strategies
  • Partner with product management, engineering, and commercial teams to define future product direction
  • Support development and execution of long-term technology and market roadmaps
  • Represent Molex in customer engagements, industry conferences, and standards organizations

  • Experience in business development, product strategy, product management, systems architecture, or technical marketing
  • Knowledge of Automotive Ethernet or vehicle networking technologies
  • Experience influencing technical and commercial stakeholders across multiple

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or a technical discipline
  • Experience engaging automotive OEM architecture teams or semiconductor ecosystem partners
