Senior Field Application Engineer - French Language RequirementJob SummaryThe Senior Field Application Engineer serves as a key technical resource for Boston Dynamics' Certified Integrator initiative. This role supports regional integration partners in delivering high-quality integrations, handling technical escalations, and contributing to continuous improvements across products and programs. The Senior FAE combines solid robotics expertise with strong communication and partner engagement skills, helping Boston Dynamics scale robotic solutions globally through a trusted ecosystem of certified partners.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the regional subject matter expert on integrations, enabling partners to deliver Serve as a regional technical resource on integrations, enabling partners to deliver deployments to BD standards.Manage engagement across multiple integration projects, ensuring they meet BD standards for quality, reliability, and ROI.Lead resolution of complex technical escalations, performing troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and collaborating with engineering to address systemic issues.Develop and prototype integration solutions using BD APIs/SDKs, creating tools and workflows to support partner-led projects.Support partner technical certifications, review integration designs and deliverables, and promote best practices.Deliver technical training to partner engineers and project managers; prepare partners for product updates, new features, and Inspector releases.Act as a regional conduit for partner and customer feedback, translating operational insights into input for product and CI program teams.Collaborate cross-functionally to align program requirements, partner capabilities, and product evolution.Support technical go-to-market pilots in-region, assisting with field validation of new technologies and sales activities.Contribute to process improvements in partner enablement, certification, and technical standards.Core CompetenciesExecution – Demonstrates strong command of robotics integration and partner enablement processes, delivering results across multi-stakeholder projects.Collaboration – Works effectively with BD Sales, Program Managers, and regional partners to ensure aligned execution.Innovation – Develops integration workflows and enablement approaches to advance CI partner capabilities.Adaptability – Operates effectively across diverse environments, adapting to dynamic customer needs and shifting business priorities.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong knowledge of robotics integration (hardware, networking, software, and payloads).Demonstrated ability to support complex, multi-site automation projects in a partner or integrator model.Solid technical training and communication skills, with experience supporting certifications or enablement programs.Proficient troubleshooting skills across autonomy, mapping, networking, and hardware domains.Strong communication skills for engaging with both technical teams and business stakeholders.QualificationsLanguage: Professional proficiency in both French and English (written and verbal) required. Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders in both languages.Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field; Master's preferred; or equivalent industry experience.Experience: 3–5 years in robotics, automation, or systems integration. Prior Field Applications Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Project Management, or Solution Architecture experience preferred.Technical Skills (Nice to Have):Networking (protocols, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, routers/switches).Linux (Ubuntu) systems management and optimization.Programming experience in Python, C++, TypeScript, or Kotlin.Familiarity with AutoCAD or equivalent design software.Certifications: Relevant industry certifications in robotics, networking, or systems integration a plus.Travel RequirementsDomestic and international travel up to 50%Work AuthorizationCandidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. Boston Dynamics cannot sponsor visas for this role.The pay range for this position is between $90,000 to $115,000 annually. Base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors including, but not limited to internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience. This range represents a good faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
