POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for providing personal assistance services to the client in order to maintain safety in the client's home. 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform personal assistance services for clients as dictated by client needs/preferences, examples of which include:
  • Assist in personal care such as lifting, turning, dressing, walking, bathing, changing and using the restroom
  • Clean all areas used by client including sweeping, dusting, dishwashing, linen changing and laundry
  • Prepare and administer client meals according to the client's dietary needs and wants
  • Errand running for the client, such as deliver bill payments, mail letters and grocery shopping
  • Transport client in the client's automobile with proper release form and proof of insurance


Other responsibilities include:

  • Report any and all violations of client's rights 
  • Respect the client's personal property and report any damage, destruction or removal
  • Complete and submit all documentation as designated in a timely manner.
  • Maintain client confidentiality at all times
  • Maintain professional relationships with the clients
  • Communicate with immediate supervisor of changes in schedule or issues affecting ability to perform assigned duties



We provide continuing education and room for advancement for all staff. We offer a training program that will allow you to advance in your position.

To qualify, you must have at least one year experience in a variety of senior care settings as a Caregiver or a CNA. We conduct background checks on all qualified applicants and YOU MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE and vehicle insurance are required. You must have a CNA, PCA or HHA certificate. You must also possess a current CPR and TB screening.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English
  • Must have honesty and integrity
  • Must have at least one year previous experience in care giving for the elderly or have a current CNA certificate
  • Must not have a criminal record which would bar employment
  • Must be able to tolerate a physical workload including standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to tolerate a variety of housing conditions
